This latest test was done on the Windows 7 platform and ESET's product again performed flawlessly and was awarded another VB100 Award.  Failures to gain the VB100 in this test by CA and McAfee, and unusually no entry was submitted for this test by Symantec.  

ESET is the only vendor that has never missed a single in-the-wild virus in Virus Bulletin testing.

Record 62nd VB100% Award for ESET

This time on Windows 2008 Server.  To be awarded the VB100% a product needs to detect 100% of the samples in VB's "wildlist" test set plus have no false positives on any safe files.  

How social engineering tricks users into installing malware

The Koobface worm made some press recently.  It tricked Facebook users into installing it willingly onto their PCs.  ESET have produced a nifty little video showing how it worked.  Link HERE.

ESET Smart Security gets top mark in Maximum PC review

For the second year in a row, ESET Smart Security was awarded top score in Maximum PCs roundup of security products.

Areas tested were system performance and scan speed, annoyance [ease of use], features and implementation, pricing and effectiveness. 

Products tested included Symantec, McAfee, Trend Micro, Microsoft, Avira, Avast, Bit Defender and Panda.  The reviews are available online here.

A major overhaul of Eset's solution for Exchange mailserver has been released.  New features include:
