Need help to choose?
Home and Small Office solutions …
The questions below will help you choose the right ESET product for your home or SOHO security needs. If you’re still not sure, please call our helpful sales team during business hours or use the “Contact Us” button which can be found in the right-hand column on every page to email us.
Do you have a Windows PC, or a Mac, or both?
If you have a mix of PCs and Macs don’t worry, ESET’s flexible licencing means you can use your licence on both/either. So if you buy a 2-user NOD32 licence you can use one licence on your PC and also Cyber Security on your Mac and vice versa. If you buy a 2-user Smart Security licence you can use one licence on your PC and a Cyber Security Pro licence on your Mac.
Do you have a laptop or notebook computer?
If you have a laptop or notebook and you’re likely to be using it away from the known security of your home or office network, in places such as public wifi, we strongly recommend the most highly-featured products ESET Smart Security [for Windows computers] or ESET Cyber Security Pro [for Macs] which include a firewall for enhanced security.
Do you want comprehensive security or just the basics?
The entry-level products are fine if you have a separate firewall on your home or office network, if you separately filter your email for spam and phishing attacks, and if you don’t need the other additional features of the “suite” products …
ESET NOD32 Antivirus [for Windows PCs] and
ESET Cyber Security [for Macs]
You can see a side by side feature comparison chart on this page.
Do your kids use the computer unsupervised?
If your kids use the computer unsupervised then you should consider the ESET products with the Parental Control features. Show your kids only the good side of the Internet and help prevent them being exposed to potentially offensive content. Block more than 20 website categories and add additional websites to the blacklist if required.
